Holy Trinity Cathedral is getting ready to support Homelessness Action Week. Here are three ways you can help:
Clothing Donations
This year, there will be a separate clothing hub shop on Thursday October 17 at Russell House. Donations can still be brought to Holy Trinity in advance, but our storage space is limited. We are especially looking for men's clothing in larger sizes: waterproof jackets, warm sweaters and fleeces, t-shirts, new or nearly new dark socks, toques and gloves, sturdy shoes or boots (not dress shoes). Mark your bag "HAW" and arrange with the office to drop off.
Volunteers for Tuesday October 15: Connect Day at HTC
On the Tuesday of HAW Week, Holy Trinity will be hopping! We are serving an extra community brunch meal this week in the Lower Hall from 12:00 to 1:00pm. Cooks and servers needed from 10 am to 1 pm. Then from 1-3 pm, the upper hall will be full of community service groups to connect with those in need. Fraser Public Health will be providing free vaccinations for all, so if you need a booster or have a question about vaccines, this is a good time to ask.
Harvest Thanksgiving Food Donations Drive October 13
All parishioners are invited to show your thankfulness on Sunday October 13 by bringing canned or boxed food items to decorate the church for Harvest. All food collected will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, which has its New Westminster distribution point at St. Barnabas Anglican Church.
