Enduring What Seems Unendurable

In Luke 21.5-19, the gospel for this coming Sunday, Jesus has some hard observations about the 'signs of the times' and the ills of the present age.  Yet, it is not a gospel of despair but of encouragement that his disciples endure and trust that the Spirit will guide their words, thoughts and actions in such times.
