Hannah and Anne

The stories of Hanna (1 Samuel) and the legends of Anne hold before us the reality of patriarchy and the definition of a person's value by factors which inhibit rather than liberate the dignity of a person. These two women call to us to fulfill our baptismal commitment to a life dedicated to the freedom of all God's children.
