You may have seen HTC parishioner Anthea Daryschuk sporting a particularly beautiful embroidered mask. It comes from her business Florezca Designs, whose mission is to directly support hightly talented female Indigenous artisans attain a high standard of living while maintaining connections and knowledge of their heritage and culture.
The masks are made by female artisans from the Otomi Indigenous community in central Mexico. You can socially distance in style while supporting women-owned businesses preserving their artistic traditions.
