On March 25, 2020, Diocesan Council approved a substancial financial package to help parishes for the next two months and beyond.

The basic details include

  • suspending assessment payments for five months (to August 31, 2020)
  • paying the salaries of most clergy to the end of May 2020 (exceptions apply to parishes with $750,000 or more in the Consolidated Trust Fund or other investments)
  • permission for parishes to draw up to 20% of their capital from the CTF for operations.
