Public Worship Suspended

As of Wednesday, March 18th, Archbishop Melissa has directed that all public worship in the Diocese of New Westminster be suspended. Her communique includes the following details:

• all Sunday and weekday in-person worship is suspended
• all other in-person parish activities are suspended. This includes all classes, meetings, most weddings and all outreach programs.
• Funerals will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
• She strongly recommends that parish offices be closed to the pubilc. If staff decide to come in, then stringent sanitation and social distancing practices are to be observed.
• User groups are also to suspend activities.

The diocese is helping parish leaders figure out ways to connect virtually.
